As live performances shut around the world, Mexican Lucha Libre wrestlers and costume makers El Hijo de Soberano and Isaías Huerta used fabric for wrestling suits to create face masks. They used their costume workshops to design masks modelled after some of the most well-known wrestlers, selling them to people around the country.

Masked wrestler Hijo de Soberano (whose identity is kept a secret) said, ‘We made some, but using the material we had for the costumes. We use the lycra and the fabrics that are used in the wrestling suit makings. They have double stitching, fabric reinforcement.’
