TFL has revealed their plans for a Covid-19 memorial to commemorate the ninety-eight transport workers who died as a result of the pandemic. The memorial will have a commemorative plaque alongside a cheery blossom tree. It is set to be located on a pedestrain plaza on Braham Street in Aldgate. The cherry blossom tree is a reflection of the cherry blossom garden in east London that acts as a  ‘living memorial’ to all Londeners who died of Covid-19. The application is hoped to be approved and ready to view by summer 2022.
