Thirty thousand cardboard cutouts were used to fill empty seats and ensure social distancing of the twenty five thousand fans who attended the Super Bowl at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. To get a cut-out cost a remote fan $100. Though the stadium is open air, risk of transmission was still high due to the number of attendees and the fact that fans were likely yelling, increasing the distance droplets can travel beyond the six-foot distancing recommendation.
