Comissioned by Lexus for the Design Miami show, these face masks are called ‘Freedom to Move’. The designs which were produced by Nigeria-based architectural designer Tosin Oshinowo and U.K.-based textile designer Chrissa Amuah are a response to the brief to create a ‘design object of our times’. According to Fast Company, they ‘celebrate African design and history through a contemporary lens by fusing traditional African craftsmanship such as brass and bronze casting with contemporary innovations, such as 3D printing.’
