Over the course of ten minutes, 300 drones flew over the Han River in Seoul to perform a synchronised light display that promoted social distancing. In addition to reminding people to wash their hands and wear a mask, the drones also formed to create a 'thank you' message to key workers. South Korea has recently seen a rise in cases as citizens have been reluctant to wear masks in the hot summer which often reaches 35C. To avoid drawing a big crowd to the event, the organisers did not advertise the performance beforehand.
