017 Be A Batman Body Shield

Carbon fibre body shield
Designed by: SUN DAYONG as part of CREATE CURES
Date: March 2020

This conceptual bodysuit design protects users by using UV light to sterilise airborne particals. Made from carbon fibre, the shield imitates bat wings to form a protective backpack.  Sun Dayong suggest that the internal wires could heat up to a temperature capable of killing off diseases. The project is called Be a Bat Man which references both the fictional superhero, Batman, and the widely suspected fact that bats have been found to be responsible for caring COVID-19 to humans. Hoping to find a financial backer for his design, Sun Dayong is offering his services as a designer for free.
