Architects of taste, Bompas & Parr have launched a competition to reconceptualise hand sanitizer as we know it. Their Fountain of Hygiene competition calls on designers to submit new forms of hand sanitizer pumps and creative hygiene solutions. The shortlisted entries will be displayed in the Design Museum and auctioned at Christie’s to raise money for the British Red Cross. The charity is establishing a fund to support those without access to sufficient healthcare amidst the pandemic.

"Developing widely adopted strategies for safely socialising is essential for the continued dynamism of the global economy," added Sam Bompas of Bompas and Parr, "Humans are social beings and the right artefacts have a role in getting us through."
