015 Sterilising Lamp

UV sterilising lamp for small possessions

Frank Chou's Sterilising Lamp operates with ultraviolet (UV) light and a tray. Designed to disinfect household items, users simply place an item into the circular tray, press the mushroom-shaped cover to activate the UV light source and, after 60 seconds, the cover rises to reveal the now-sterilised item. With 'unconscious design' (a process introduced by Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa, which aims to make design as easy and invisible as possible) Chou's Sterilising Lamp blends into the home to become part of the user's everyday routine.
